Owltac Flashlights Launches Kickstarter Campaign for First Flashlight with Selective Battery Powe

MIAMI - April 24, 2015 - PRLog -- On April 21, 2015 Owltac Flashlights launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for Owltac, the first flashlight with selective battery power.

Owltac Flashlight features over 200 lumen LED, and a revolutionary  battery carrier.

Following one year of design and prototype development, Owltac Flashlights has set a $10,000 Kickstarter goal that will pay for Owltac Flashlight's quantity  minimum order. The standard pledge level "Lucky OWLS Special includes one (1) OWLTAC - A1T ENDURE flashlight, custom holster, wrist strap, Owltac sticker and gift box. Over $ 70 saving on this reward. Additionals pledges levels are available.

"What makes the OWLTAC A1T ENDURE unique is that it carries two batteries, but it operates on one at a time. It’s the only flashlight that allows you to select which battery is powering it. By rotating the selector switch, you manually select which battery, #1 or #2, powers the flashlight. This design allows the flashlight to operate with only one charged battery installed. When you have a depleted battery, or when you’re missing one battery from the carrier, the flashlight will let you know by flashing a dim light. It’s like having two flashlights in one." said Yelitza Sepulveda, co-founder of Owltac Flashlights.

There is a widespread need for a hand-held flashlight. Owltac Flashlights takes them to the next level of controlling and powering a solid-state light source for a portable battery-powered flashlight, using a redundant battery power source.

In certain critical situations, such as security and military operations, the loss of battery power for a flashlight during a critical point in an operation can be disastrous for the operation. The flashlight was designed in Homestead, Florida in 2014.
