Food safety in homes, an important issue to be addressed

It’s critical to relate national security and food safety in the home, because the availability of food in quantity and correct variety depends on the necessary but insufficient condition to ensure good access for all households.

Food must satisfy the needs of essential micronutrients and energy requirements of all family members. It is extremely important, especially when certain foods or nutrients are available in marginal amounts.

In urban and rural areas, the food must not only meet the energy needs but also micronutrient needs of each member. And it is here that a critical aspect arises for governments to ensure the food security of people belonging to their country or region.
