The hotels are deeply rooted in the idea that great basics, such as a comfortable bed, free Wi-Fi or urban location, must go hand in hand with great customer service. Check-in is completely automated; taking less than 1 minute and the restaurant area is entirely self-service.

By installing iRiS Signature Guest Valet, citizenM Amsterdam and Schiphol airport hotels are answering the growing customer demand for a more unique and tailored experience.

Designed for a room-based tablet, iRiS Signature Guest Valet is an interactive application that replaces the traditional guest welcome pack with up-to-date, live destination information. The app allows visitors to control the entire room, setting the mood of the room to their choice. Guests can choose from a total of 5 pre-programmed moods (such as “romance” or “business”) and pre-programmed functional light-settings (such as “work”, “shower” and “read”). Video-content and audio adjust to the chosen mood to create the perfect atmosphere. It also controls the blinds, the curtains, the temperature and the TV.  With the app visitors can also access local maps & attractions, stream the movie of their choice and set up a personalised alarm on the TV.
