DAVENPORT, Iowa - April 14, 2015 - PRLog -- The Midwest Writing Center, continuing in its an effort to help active and former military personnel express themselves through writing, has teamed up with Wordsy Woman, Jodie Toohey, to launch a new blog to feature their writing. The USA VETS Writer’s Studio Blog (http://usavetswritersstudio.blogspot.com/) is open to work in any genre up to ten pages under real or pseudo names. Posts will also be categorized to aid readers in finding topics that most interest them. A page of helpful resources for writers is also on the blog and will be updated regularly. Any questions can be directed to 563-324-1410 or jodie@wordsywoman.com.

“Our nation’s Veterans have so many stories to tell; stories that need to be put out in the world. Writing can also be an outlet for anyone trying to sort out their feelings and gain some perspective on a difficult period in their life. MWC just wants to give them a supportive environment to share their work if that’s what they choose,” says Jodie Toohey, who will be managing the blog. Submission guidelines are available at http://usavetswritersstudio.blogspot.com/p/submission-guidelines.html.
