Bar Coding Module Eliminates Chaos for Growing Laser Alignment Systems Company

WOODSTOCK, Vt. - April 13, 2015 - PRLog -- Seiffert Industrial, based just outside of Dallas Texas, specializes in precision laser alignment systems for an assortment of industries. As a young company, Seiffert Industrial relied on spreadsheets and QuickBooks software to track inventory but, as the company grew, owner Bill Seiffert found that inventory was falling through the cracks.

“It was easy to lose things before,” says Seiffert. “We order a lot of parts that are machined. We might get 200 parts in a shipment and, during our quality inspection, we might find that there are about 10 that are damaged.” The damaged pieces go back to the vendor to be fixed and, before Seiffert Industrial had an effective way of tracking them, the parts were sometimes lost after that.

Seiffert purchased the bar coding module along with the MISys software to help the company keep better track of inventory. Using the software, Seiffert Industrial has been able to track inventory as it arrives and when it leaves the shop to be fixed, providing them with insight into the location of every part at all times.
