Learning Upgrade Announces Complimentary “Summer School for ALL Students” Initiative

SAN DIEGO - April 7, 2015 - PRLog -- Furthering its commitment to combat the summer slide, curriculum provider makes its content available complimentary to every student in the U.S.

Oftentimes a school or district’s budget will dictate which and how many students will participate in summer school, an extremely valuable time for learning. Learning Upgrade is thrilled to announce its “Summer School for ALL Students” this summer. Through this program, schools and districts can provide full, complimentary access to engaging, standards-based curriculum to all of their students, regardless of whether or not they are participating in the more traditional summer school model.

The innovative curriculum from Learning Upgrade reaches even the most reluctant learners by incorporating music, videos and games into each of its lessons. For the past three summers, Learning Upgrade has offered complimentary licenses to those students that are enrolled in summer school. Because of the overwhelmingly positive feedback received from educators, this offer has been expanded to include any student a school or district feels would benefit, regardless of whether or not they are enrolled for summer school.

Research from the National Summer Learning Association shows that without refreshing their memories, students may lose up to two months of grade-level equivalency over the summer.

“Summer is a fantastic opportunity to extend learning,” stated Learning Upgrade Co-Founder and CEO, Vinod Lobo. “Every student can benefit by filling in gaps in math and English and preparing for the next school year. So the decision to expand our complimentary summer school offer this year was an easy and exciting one to make. Now more students can make learning breakthroughs over the break, regardless of their summer school status.”

The intuitive platform provides students with immediate feedback as well as additional support and remediation when and where students need it. Once a student has demonstrated mastery of a given skill, they are automatically advanced to the next lesson. Teachers and administrators can track every student’s progress through web-based reports and provide incentives so that students complete their program by the start of school.
