Amish Mike to Host 6th Annual Spring Opener April 18th and 19th

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. - March 23, 2015 - PRLog -- Amish Mike is excited to announce the upcoming annual spring opener, which will take place April 18th and 19th. The event will showcase products, allow the community to learn more about the building process, and offer fun activities.

The event will take place outdoors, and cold drinks, cheeseburgers, and hotdogs will be provided. Attendees will also be able to enter a raffle by filling out a form. Each year, Amish Mike gives away three items at the spring opener. This year, two of the items are handmade Adirondack chairs. The third will be a surprise.

Two of the most exciting displays that will feature at this year’s opener are a 20’ by 20’ Dutch-style two story shed and a 16’ by 16’ wooden pavilion. There will also be benches, chairs, tables, and poly furniture on display.

The staff at Amish Mike’s will also attend the event, as well as a couple of Amish builders from the area who will be there to display their skills and their products. A number of the builders will assemble various pieces for the public to see.

After the demonstrations, the builders will take a break in the afternoon to host an informal question and answer session where attendees will be able to ask how the builders assemble pieces, the length of time it takes to build them, and what types of wood are best for certain types of pieces.

“We always look forward to this event every year; it’s just a great chance to be able to speak with the customers,” said Mike McCort, Owner of Amish Mike. “Hopefully they will tell us what they liked about a certain product or what types of products they’d like to see in the future.”

“Visitors will be able to mingle with each other, meet some very talented Amish builders, and will have the chance to win a free prize. It doesn’t get any better than that,” McCort added.
