Local Developer Launches Website for City of Neenah

NEENAH, Wis. - March 4, 2015 - PRLog -- Stellar Blue Technologies, a Fox Valley, Wis. based digital marketing firm launched a custom website for the City of Neenah. After a formal, public Request for Proposal (RFP) process, Stellar Blue was selected to handle the city’s new content management based website. This is the first website project Stellar Blue has completed for the City of Neenah.

City of Neenah’s Director of Information Systems Joe Wenninger, issued the RFP on June 12^th, 2014. Companies nationwide submitted proposals. The city department directors deliberated and invited a select few developers to formally present. On October 6^th, 2014, City of Neenah accepted Stellar Blue’s proposal.

The project is a custom designed, mobile optimized website powered by WordPress; an open source content management system that allows for easy internal management of content, media and layout. Stellar Blue provides heighten levels of hosting and platform protection to meet and exceed the security needs of the city. The website is also design and developed with ADA Compliancy.

“This project encapsulated the best parts of Neenah,” said Stellar Blue Technologies Marketing Director Amanda Betts. “Our team worked hard to find ways to highlight the best of the city departments, the best of the community and the best of all the programs that Neenah provides it’s residents, business owners and visitors.”

The website features self-identifying navigation that was constructed with the user in mind as well as a spread of various image backgrounds that change as a user navigates through the website. These are images showcasing the parks, businesses, and water-ways of Neenah, Wis.

The website project began with detailed site analysis as Stellar Blue studied a year’s worth of website analytics determining user behavior and low areas of site performance. This was a critical step in determining the new website’s navigational structure.
