ACA Health Insurance Enrollment Deadline is Fast Approaching!

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Feb. 12, 2015 - PRLog -- The clock is counting down on the Annual Open Enrollment Period.  There are only a few days left to sign up for health insurance via the Health Insurance Marketplace. The last day is Sunday, February 15, 2015.

Those who have been thinking about the opportunity of getting financial assistance with their health insurance should not delay.  At 11:59 pm EST on February 15, the Annual Open Enrollment Period for 2015 will be over. If you do not select and enroll in a health insurance plan before then, you will not be able to enroll or make changes to your health insurance coverage until the Annual Enrollment Period for 2016.  The AEP for 2016 will open on October 1, 2015.

This is the final countdown for those who want to receive subsidized health insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act. About 92% of North Carolinians qualify for subsidies.

Those living in North Carolina can get free assistance in researching the health insurance plans that best fit their needs and their budget; applying for subsidies; and enrolling in a health insurance plan. What if you miss the health insurance Annual Open Enrollment deadline?

If you still do not have health insurance after February 15, 2015, you risk facing a financial penalty. Penalties are increasing for remaining uninsured in 2015.
