ST. LOUIS - Feb. 12, 2015 - PRLog -- Eagle Bank and Trust will rehabilitate the formerly vacant Missouri Housing Authority building and open a new branch at the intersection of Lindell Boulevard and North Sarah Street in the Central West End.

As the only locally-owned and operated bank in the Central West End, Eagle Bank will employ loan officers with products and services tailored to the needs of the community. The products and services include unique solutions for not-for-profit organizations and small businesses along with financial literacy and empowerment programs. Customers will also have access to United States Postal Services at the branch and will be able to pay major utility bills free of charge.

“We are so excited to establish this new branch in the heart of our great city. This is our home and Eagle Bank is dedicated to seeing it grow and prosper,” said Mike Walsh, Eagle Bank and Trust President and CEO. “The fact that we are restoring a long-vacant building speaks exactly to our dedication and financial commitment to this community.”

Eagle has established an Advisory Board of local community and business leaders to provide insights on the best ways to meet the banking and financial services needs of families, business owners, and other organizations in the area.

“We will engage in the kind of dialogue that will help the city prosper. Our discussions will help Eagle understand both the issues and the opportunities so that we can face them together and deliver solutions,” said Wendy Dyer, Funds Development Consultant and Eagle Bank Advisory Board member.

Additional members of the Advisory Board include Edwin Bass (Bishop at Empowered Church of God in Christ), Jessica Eiland (President of Northside Community Housing, Inc.), Opal Jones (Doorways Housing), Eric Clark (Loyola Academy), James Guest (Legal Service of Eastern Missouri, Inc.), Ron Roberts (McCormack Baron, Inc.), Aaron Teitelbaum (Herbies Vintage ’72 restaurant).
