ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. - Feb. 9, 2015 - PRLog -- Less than one week after Valentine’s Day, lovers of a different type will come together for a multi-day romance known as Zephyrhills Winter AutoFest.  From February 19-22, thousands of guests converge on Festival Park for all things automotive.  Out of those four days, two have extra significance, as Carlisle Auctions presents its twice annual collector car auction within the Sunshine State.  Car lovers from around the world unite for the auction that runs February 20-21, hosts 400+ cars and trucks and spans all eras of production.

Guests coming to the auction may be looking to add to an existing collection, snag their first classic, purchase a mid-life crisis car or to find a nice starter car for someone special in their life.  Regardless of buying and bidding tastes, there is something for everyone.  In fact, you don’t have to be a car geek at all to enjoy a day (or more) with Carlisle Events and Carlisle Auctions.

The fun starts at 9:30 a.m. on the 20th as the auction opens with a quick round of memorabilia and collectibles.  Immediately following, the first of many cars will cross the block.  Consigned via the Carlisle Auctions’ FREE UNLESS SOLD policy, available lots run the gambit.  All available vehicles will be positioned in and around the auction arena for preview, then once bidding starts, it’ll run at a fever pitch daily though 7 p.m.

What makes the auction exciting is that it’s live, it’s fast paced and it’s something most people have never experienced.  Consignments range from ‘20s era production through modern day.  Cars of note include a 1934 Ford Cabriolet, a 1952 Bentley Mark 6, a 1957 Ford Thunderbird, 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air and a 1960 Chevrolet Impala.

These cars are far from your everyday family minivan.  2015 is the 60th year of the Thunderbird so snagging an early era production of the T-Bird would make an awesome addition to any collection, plus the ’57 that’s been consigned is a real gem.  Coming in Gunmetal Gray, this Ford classic has a pleated vinyl interior, automatic transmission, hard and soft top, AC, power steering, power windows and a fully functional AM radio, perfect for listing to the classic songs of this car’s classic era.

Taking a cruise a little further down memory lane, the ’34 Cabriolet once adorned the cover of the "National Street Rod Association 2004 Yearbook."   The restored beauty includes suicide doors, a red pearl over candy yellow flames paint job, leather interior and a removable hard top just to name a few.  Best of all, there is a taste of modern within the classic as it includes power and tilt steering, power windows, heat, AC and power seats.

Guests looking for some European elegance should look no further than the Bentley.  Shipped direct from the U.K. to a doctor in St. Petersburg, Florida, the car has a reported 36,000 original miles. The engine and drive train have never been rebuilt and it is rust and weather damage free, as it has been meticulously cared for and has generally been garage kept.

There is even more ‘50s muscle in place with the Bel Air.  This ’57 red beauty has power windows, power steering, power brakes, leather interior, tilt wheel, custom wheels and a turbo 350 transmission.  The car has also had a frame-off restoration done and it runs and drives perfectly.

Finally, the Impala is one of the finest cars to roll off the Chevy assembly line.  This particular consignment includes the very desirable 348 c.i. Tri- Power V8, factory AC, power breaks, steering, windows and seats, plus has the classic dual antenna look.

These are just five of over 400 cars or trucks available starting February 20.  Preview day commences with the opening of the gates on the 19th and all auction lots will be onsite by the time the auction starts at 9:30 a.m. on the 20th.  Registering to bid is simple and can be done onsite within the auction office or in advance by calling Carlisle Auctions at 717-960-6400.
