CARLISLE, Pa. - Feb. 4, 2015 - PRLog -- While the month of April isn’t officially the start of the spring season, it is the month when most start thinking outdoor thoughts.  The weather has turned, the flowers are blooming, your favorite baseball team still has a chance at the post season and it’s the month that has hosted Spring Carlisle since its inception in 1977.  This year’s spring offering runs April 22-26 and will once again welcome nearly 100,000 guests to the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds to buy, sell and trade all things automotive.  There are also cool activities that the family can enjoy, a great array of food, automotive history on display and a thrilling collector car auction, presented by Carlisle Auctions.  All of these things can be experienced for a singular price point and best of all, kids 12 and under gain free access to the five-day show.

Spring Carlisle brings people together from around the world who all share a common passion, the collector car hobby.  The 8,100 vending space at the fairgrounds historically fill with thousands of vendors who are moving automotive pieces and parts, collectibles, merchandise and other hard-to-find items.  That makes Carlisle THE place to be for a deal and those hard-to-find items.  As a perfect complement to the massive swap meet, there is a car corral with thousands of past, present and future classics for sale by owner.  Onsite financing makes every purchase at Carlisle simple and the taxi and parts hauling services provided make navigating the grounds all the more easy.

Buying and selling aside, Spring Carlisle also hosts the future of the automotive hobby via the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow (HROT) engine challenge and some non-automotive shopping options with the Women’s Oasis.

As HROT goes, high school aged students from the region compete against the clock as they tear down and reassemble a Chevy small block engine.  Top teams advance to a national finals in either Las Vegas or Indianapolis.  In fact, the defending national champions from the Burton Center in Virginia will be competing at Spring Carlisle.  Schools are encouraged to get involved today to better enhance this great competition.

The Women’s Oasis is dubbed the “home away from chrome” because it’s just that, a place to shop where items offered carry a non-automotive theme with items geared more for women.  The oasis sits near the main office, just inside of Gate 3 and was introduced to Spring Carlisle in 2014.  Because of its popularity, it’s back!  And we always have a row of non-automotive vendors located behind the main office at the spring and fall shows.

Finally, yet another feature attraction for Spring Carlisle is the two-day collector car auction powered by Carlisle Auctions.  Millions of people watch car auctions on TV, but why do that when guests can experience the bidding and buying process live and in person.  Consignments continue to be taken via the Carlisle Auctions’ FREE UNLESS SOLD policy and the registration process remains fair and simple.  Due to demand, the quality and quantity of cars has increased too.  Best of all, anyone who buys a ticket to Spring Carlisle and enjoys a day on the grounds can attend the auction for free.

Details on every aspect of Spring Carlisle may be found online at www.CarlisleEvents.com or by calling 717-243-7855.  Further, registration is ongoing for the swap meet, car corral and auction.  It’s not too late to get involved now, but come April 22, it just might be!
