Whittemore, chief simplifier, Simple Marketing Now LLC, will present several education sessions during The International Surface Event 2015, held January 20-23 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. All seven programs will focus on different aspects of getting found online for business.

“Businesses need to make the most of the online world to succeed,” says Whittemore. “These seven sessions address multiple aspects of getting found online – from effectively using social media networks to ensuring that your website is as effective an asset for your business as a showroom or physical office is.”

Three sessions will take place during the official TISE Education Program on January 20th and before the show opens on January 21st:

Social Media Interactive Workshop I: Using Social Media to Support Your Business. Wondering whether it’s worth your while to be on social media for your business? Confused about how to make it effective?  Need a little hands-on training? During this highly interactive workshop, we’ll learn best practices for effectively using social media for your business.

Social Media Interactive Workshop II: How to Get the Results You Want. You’re successfully using social media and interacting with people, but not sure if the resources spent justify the results. During this session, learn how to evaluate your progress and improve your performance, share successes and failures with your peers, practice online and ask questions.

Get Found Online! Tips for Making Your Website More Visible - Your website is the digital equivalent of your showroom. Have you ensured that it works as hard – or even harder – than your storefront given that it functions 24/7 as your digital sales associate? Your website is often the first touch potential customers have with your business. It needs to help you get found online.  In this session, we will look at how to evaluate your website from a search engine perspective and how to optimize it for potential customers and search engines. We’ll also explore what options you have to make your website more visible even when you don’t have full access to editing the website.

In addition to the Education Program sessions, Whittemore will present the following four sessions on the TISE West show floor on January 21st:

Make Your Website as Effective as Your Showroom! Your website is your digital showroom, available 24/7 even when your store is closed. Is it similarly useful and up-to-date? In this session, we’ll look at what makes a website effective and discuss how it can better support your store.

Have You Tried Facebook Ads? Facebook has changed the rules of visibility in people’s Newsfeed, making it harder for a business to be seen and get more Likes. At the same time, Facebook Ads offer a cost effective way to gain Likes and generate engagement. In this session, we’ll discuss how to use Facebook Company Pages and Facebook Ads to better support your business.

Are Your Sales People on LinkedIn? Why Not? Have you checked to see if your sales associates have LinkedIn profiles? How strong are those profiles? How about your profile?  In this session, we’ll explore how LinkedIn helps your business and how to make the most of those LinkedIn profiles.

Google Analytics Basics You can’t improve what you don’t measure. When it comes to your website, Google Analytics provides you with valuable information about prospective customers coming to your company website. In this session, we’ll explore Google Analytics and highlight basics to get you started.
