Small Business Class Starting in South Naples on Jan. 22

NAPLES, Fla. - Jan. 13, 2015 - PRLog -- The Goodwill Southwest Florida MicroEnterprise Institute is seeking entrepreneurs for its next class, to be held in South Naples at Florida SouthWestern State College (7505 Grand Lely Drive) starting on January 22.

The Goodwill Southwest Florida MicroEnterprise Institute is a training program to help emerging entrepreneurs start new ventures and grow small businesses. Graduates complete a business and management training course and work with mentors who are successful businesspersons.

“We look at the feasibility of participants’ business ideas,” says Dorothy Browning, program manager of The Goodwill SWFL MicroEnterprise Institute. “We guide them through the start-up process. Through this program, 171 of our graduates have gone into business, employing a total of 185 people.”

The classes, which are being done in partnership with Florida SouthWestern State College, will be held on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. and will cover everything from accounting to marketing, insurance to funding. After the completion of the course, eligible participants may apply for a microloan collateral guarantee from Goodwill.
