The Paper Knife Pop-Up Gallery at the monOrchid

PHOENIX - Jan. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- January 17th join us for a special show and the collaborative effort between two exciting creative groups The Paper Knife and Shade Projects at the monOrchid! The Paper Knife is a multimedia art collective based in Phoenix, Arizona with contributing artists primarily representing the Phoenix area. They publish photography, paintings, drawings, digital designs, music, the written word, and more, in unbound physical compilations. The Paper Knife’s goal is to promote and entice the pursuit of creative labor, with the goal of shaping an egalitarian and excellent artistic community.

We invite you to attend this special half-month pop-up exhibition which will be on display in Shade Gallery. The show will encompass a vast body of work from thirteen local artists, including Chris Czaja, Zach Bootz, Matthey Marshall, Clay Halling, Alyssa Burke, Kenosha Drucker, Kevin Moore, Annalisa Macaluso, Shelby Larson, Britt Hillsbery, Ariana Essian and Nick Gutierrez. These artists all explore the informal interactions that occur when the pieces are placed within a single physical context. The Paper Knife Pop-Up Gallery will be on display in Shade Gallery at the monOrchid from January 17^th until February 1^st, 2015. The opening reception will be held on Saturday, January 17^th from 6-10pm with Jazz, drinks, great art and the artists in attendance.

The monOrchid is located at 214 E. Roosevelt Street in the heart of Phoenix's downtown arts district. The building is open daily and the exhibition may be viewed during business hours.
