Huge secret underground Nazi base found in Austria: predicted in DAS BELL

Military historian and science fiction author Chris Berman gets it right again

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jan. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- When author Chris Berman penned his novel Das Bell back in 2010 (released in 2014), he had no idea just how accurate his fictional description of a secret Nazi underground research base would be, until last week. Suspiciously high radiation levels around the Austrian town of St. Georgen an der Gusen had long fueled theories that there was a buried bunker nearby where Nazis had tested a device during World War Two that used some form of radioactive fuel. Those suspicions came one step closer to being confirmed last week after the opening of a 75-acre underground complex was dug out from below the earth and granite used to seal off the entrance. An excavation team, led by Austrian filmmaker Andreas Sulzer, discovered the site that was “likely the biggest secret weapons production facility of the Third Reich.” The weapons facility was believed to have been manned by SS General Hans Kammler and situated near the B8 Bergkristall factory, where the first working jet-powered fighter was created. The underground complex was built by slave labor, made of captured Russian soldiers and Jews. An estimated 38,000 prisoners were executed and entombed within the concrete walls of the tunnels.

When the name Hans Kammler is raised, one immediately associates him with Die Glocke, or “The Bell,” a mysterious device that may have been able to tap into zero-point energy and possibly alter both time and space—all being the subject of the novel Das Bell.

Leo Publishing author Chris Berman envisioned such a facility in his novel Das Bell. Berman is a military historian as well as a science fiction author. In his book, he took all of the information and research on the Bell that was available, and weaved it into a tale of political intrigue, cutting-edge physics, and the possibility that SS General Hans Kammler’s research team had successfully reverse-engineered ancient alien technology. Documents uncovered by Polish journalist-researcher Igor Witkowski show that just before Kammler (and the Bell) vanished in April of 1945, he had 62 of the scientists who had worked on the Bell executed, rather than let the secrets of the device fall into Allied hands.

Chris Berman says, “In writing Das Bell, I envisioned a secret underground complex where the Bell was being used to access an alternate world, one ripe for conquest by the Nazis facing defeat in our world. When I look at the photographs and the description of this newly discovered underground base and the tunnels that are said to be built on the bodies of slave laborers, I get a chill at just how close to reality my imagined secret facility was.”

From the novel, Das Bell:

“It was very bright that morning and when we reached to bottom of the opening, it took some time for our eyes to adjust to the darkness, even with our flashlights.  The sides of the tunnel were flecked with white shapes.  As we became accustomed to the dark, the corporal played his light over the tunnel walls and we both froze.  They were staring out at us with empty eye sockets: skulls, hundreds, perhaps thousands of skulls, all mixed in to the concrete with ribs, spines, leg bones….it was horrible!  Whatever caused the blast collapsed the tunnel, and the walls broke open.  There must have been thousands of human beings…people entombed within the walls.”

Berman goes on to say, “This isn’t the first time my fictional predictions came true.” In his novel Red Moon, Chris Berman predicted water ice would be found at the Moon’s South Pole a year prior to its confirmation by a NASA probe. In that same book he accurately predicted a secret U.S. Navy underwater spy drone built to resemble a large tuna, a good three years before its existence was revealed in December of 2014.

Das Bell has been acclaimed by researchers Igor Witkowski and Dr. Joseph Farrell, military historian John Broom, PhD, and bestselling author David Brin as an exciting action-adventure with historical accuracy. Now with this discovery in Austria, Chris Berman may have been closer to the truth than he ever imagined.
