A 40 day fast is major undertaking and decision. I would never considered a fast of this magnitude on my own. However, I truly believe in my heart that the Holy Spirit has called me to this fast.” The Bible records many events where a fast was proclaimed. The most important fast ever proclaimed by the Holy Spirit for a major undertaking was through Jesus, 40 days and 40 nights. This fast was the foundation that provided salvation for all of mankind. "The lord has called me to a great ministry". The International Ministry of HELPS and the HELPS Resource Center. The HELPS (Hands Eternally Lifting People's Spirit) ministry that will affect millions of people that have dire needs to be fulfilled. The HELPS Resource Center is offering HELP to all who need a helping hand. Homeless people, ex-offenders, low income people, runaways, handicapped persons, veterans or anyone needing a temporary hand up. “I believe this is the reason the Lord through the Holy Spirit has proclaimed this 40 day 40 night fast for me”. AUTHORS BACK GROUND: Through an extreme set of events in my life, I found myself serving a 72 month sentence in a Federal Prison Camp for money laundering. I will go into that story another time. While I was at prison camp, I ministered in the Camp Church. I had heard the phrase: WHY DON'T YOU JUST GO TO HELL. I made a point to the person that they shouldn't wish that fate on anybody. His response back was: “Well, why don't you tell us what Hell is like”? So, in response, I wrote a message titled: SO YOU WANT TO GO TO HELL. I used all the Bible references I could find; and many men came to know the LORD because of that message. There is a REAL HELL. I wanted to experience HELL in such a way that I would know how to explain it to another person. I wanted to explain it with such authority that people would want to know Jesus and not ever want to go there or have anyone they know and love to go there either. I prayed and asked the Lord to show me what being in Hell is really like. When I asked for this Hell experience I had no thoughts of writing a book. The Holy Spirit has directed me to write down all I saw, heard and felt, and to let the WORLD KNOW – HELL IS REAL, I WAS THERE!
