By: Narayan Seva Sansthan Once, one of the freedom fighters Veer Savarkar was in prison. He had neither a pen, nor a paper to express his feelings. Many ‘creative thoughts’ used to develop within him, but how to put them in writing? One day he was going through the same thought in a lonely cell of the prison when suddenly he found a solution to it. He took the view of the wall facing towards him. The lengthy, wide and white walls of the prison turned out as a paper for Veer Savarkar. He already had a pin which he selected as a pen. What one could have asked for? As soon as the door of the cell closed, he used to start expressing his feeling by mentioning on the walls of the cell. ‘Each & every’ single wall turned in to a literary work. He marked the utter consideration of spenser in a reasonable manner. The creation of great poem 'Kamla' also took place or these walls of the cell of the prison. One wall was occupied by an important definition of Economics. His purpose of writing on the walls was fulfilled, as the prisoners shifted from other cells of the prison could be benefited through his writings and could make use of their intellectual development and apply them in the independence movement. It was the ‘will power’ of Savarkar that gave birth to a famous saying 'While there is a Will, there is a Way'. A healthy ‘will power’ leads a person to the path of creation, development, public welfare, highest truth and encouraged him to attain the aim with hard labour and keen effort. It helps the person in attaining the top level, whereas people, in search of resources, unnecessarily waste their valuable time. If the goal of a person is set, his ‘view point’ turns positive and if he or she has enough courage, he or she can achieve anything in life. An ‘effort’ might not be a guarantee for success, but it certainly maintains us in the race. The success of ‘work accomplishment’ People like Savarkar, carry on their life, keeping the aim of holiness on topmost priority. The independence movement of India is an excellent example of it. The ‘one's self’ and the ‘purity of the instinct’ have given birth to the presumption of Nationalism. This presumption was applied in the practical life and became National heritage. On the auspicious occasion of our independence day, we have to take the oath to keep our national heritage intact. We have to take care that there is no hungry, sick, helpless or a poor person around us. We must help these people according to our capacity. It is a human religion.
