Building Effective Teams in 2015 with Evolve Management

CLEVELAND, OH – In the coming year, Evolve Management’s leadership will be focused on developing the already respectable ability of their associates to collaborate. The firm’s director of operations shared her strategies for doing so.

CLEVELAND - Dec. 22, 2014 - PRLog -- The leaders of Evolve Management are unswerving in their commitment to nurturing an environment that supports and empowers their people. It is only in this kind of culture, says Sara, the firm’s director of operations, that professionals of any industry can flourish. “When everyone is working together, we operate more proficiently, innovate creative campaign strategies for our clientele, and guide each team member toward the achievement of their personally-chosen objectives.”

Evolve Management’s Director Shares Three Key Performance Metrics for Effectual Teams

How best to create a team that works well together and accomplishes great things is a mystery for many businesses. According to Sara, “What makes this process even more difficult is that numerous hiring managers and business leaders are wrong about what it takes to build a great team. There are, in fact, only three things that matter when it comes to getting people to gel.”

First, a group should never be assembled before clear objectives have been set and desired outcomes have been clearly defined. “Without knowing what the team is supposed to achieve and what the terms of success are, it’s not possible to put the right crew together for the project.” Sara suggests that leaders at Evolve Management ask themselves what they are trying to accomplish and why, and use those answers as the basis for assembling a team.

Next, it’s necessary to decide what the most efficient way would be for the group to achieve their goals. “Be certain that, as an organization, everyone is willing to support the team’s efforts. Check to see that they have the resources and the tools necessary for the completion of their mission, and also that you have a system in place to measure both their progress and their performance.”

Finally, Sara suggests clearly delineating the roles and responsibilities among the members of the group based on their strengths and the goals of the team. “For example, if you put a team together to get a new product to market, you are going to want a methodical, detail-oriented person in charge of that project. “

Then, once all these primary concerns are addressed, it’s time to put personalities together. “Often, leaders will try and convince themselves that personality doesn’t matter, but it does. You set a team up for failure if you are thoughtless with your appointments. Successful teams are built on a foundation of resolution, clarity, and good organization.”
