James Goetz Florida Saves The Life of His Infant Daughter While Utilizing CPR Skills

LAKELAND, Fla. - Dec. 8, 2014 - PRLog -- (Florida) Who says that taking American REd Cross (http://www.redcross.org/lp/cpr-first-aid-aed-certification-hero?scode=PSG00000E017&subcode=paidregistration&gclid=Cj0KEQiAtZWkBRC9ibSfhoKEyLYBEiQA5fDxkTglo6z64RBhh3WnAqYdomavtzDEccJR6QG1Zjr2lJAaAh1m8P8HAQ) or American Heart Association Classes (http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/CPRAndECC/CPR_UCM_001118_SubHomePage.jsp), in order to become CPR, AED certified, is a waste of time? This is typically a topic rarely brought up or thought about even. Yet unfortunately, thousands of people a year die of causes due to choking.

Infants often do not understand how to swallow properly. They end up coughing and clearing their esophagus. When they move to whole foods, clearing an obstruction becomes more difficult.

James Goetz Florida, was fortunate enough to be trained in CPR. While eating a strawberry, his infant daughter began to choke. Remaining calm and adhering to his training, he opened his daughters mouth and looked for an airway obstruction. He could not find one but discovered she was unable to breathe. He positioned her over his knee and gave a couple swift pats on the back, clearing the obstruction.

James Goetz Florida states that he was extremely grateful for taking the class and that his daughter will live to eat another strawberry.
