How to do Speed Limits over Huawei Switch?

As we all know, speed limits are used to describing the limits on maximum or minimum driving speed.

The primary purpose of speed limits is to enhance safety by reducing risks imposed by drivers speed choices. The intent is to reduce disparities in speeds and reduce the potential for vehicle conflicts. A related function of speed limits is to provide the basis for enforcement and sanctions for those who drive at speeds excessive for conditions and endanger others.

This terminology can also be used in networking, which can protect your computer system from being crashed. So here I wanna talk about how to do the speed limits, take Huawei Switch S2300, (http://www.huanetwork.com/huawei-quidway-s2300-access-switches-price_c71) Huawei Switch S3300 and Huawei Switch S5300 for example.

When you configure CIR, CBS, PBS instead of PIR, it is shown as below:

CBS=200*CIR

PBS=2*CBS+2*200*CIR=400*CIR (the units of CIR is Kbps, while the CBS and PBS is Byte.)

Configure the direction of the port speed limit, and its speed limit is 10M

The configuration is shown as below before the V100R003C01 version:

[Quidway] interface ethernet 0/0/1
[Quidway-Ethernet0/0/1] qos lr cir 10240 cbs 2048000

The configuration is shown as below after the V100R003C01 version (including V100R003C01):
[Quidway] interface ethernet 0/0/1
[Quidway-Ethernet0/0/1] qos lr outbound cir 10240 cbs 2048000 (Configure the direction of the port speed limit, and its speed limit is 10M)

Note
For S5300, the physical interface is GigabitEthernet.
