Red Carpet Release Celebration for Elementary Grade Students

MARIETTA, Ga. - Nov. 30, 2014 - PRLog -- It's time to roll out the red carpet as we celebrate 25 students from Murdock Elementary who will officially become published authors. Through an after-school enrichment program where creative writing is taught, these students will have their short stories published and available on Amazon.com. Instructor Whitmire says, "For those students who have difficulty excelling in the areas of math and science, Fun Creative Writing has given them an opportunity to soar using their creative writing skills."

Principal Lynn Hamblett made it a point to add diversity to their after-school program by exposing students to skills outside of what the Georgia curriculum allows. The Fun Creative Writing workshop is taught by Terri Whitmire, a four time published author who continues to reach back and share what she has learned to school-aged children. Watch them as they receive their writing certification and share their short stories with parents, friends, faculty, and their community.
