The Food Bank of Eastern & Central North Carolina Receives Support from Capitol Financial Solutions

RALEIGH, N.C. - Nov. 12, 2014 - PRLog -- Raleigh, NC (November 7, 2014)- Volunteers from Raleigh financial services firm, Capitol Financial Solutions, stepped out of the office to get further involved and give back to their community. On Friday, employees spent the afternoon volunteering at the Raleigh branch of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC, sorting and distributing produce for  families in need. They bagged over 3,000 pounds of cucumbers which equates to 2,526 meals.

The mission of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC is “No One Goes Hungry in Central & Eastern North Carolina.” Established in 1980, the Food Bank is a nonprofit organization that has provided food for people at risk of hunger in 34 counties for 30 years. The Food Bank serves a network of more than 800 partner agencies such as soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, and programs for children and adults through distribution centers in Durham, Greenville, New Bern, Raleigh, the Sandhills and Wilmington.

“This day of volunteering not only supports our commitment to community, but also brings our team members together to make a coordinated, local impact,” sais Capitol Financial Solutions vice president Chessie Ralston. “Our associates have been serving their communities for years, but brining them together on one day like this just emphasizes what a difference we can make.”
