Follow on Google News | Kentucky Book Fair Celebrates Santa's ReturnThe 33rd Annual Kentucky Book Fair will be taking place in Frankfort on November 15th. And for the second year in a row, Santa Claus will be among the participants.
Joe Moore, as is Santa's pseudonym, has written and published The Santa Claus Trilogy with the third book in the series released this year and now available. Moore not only writes about Santa Claus and the North Pole, but he spends the last two months of the year portraying Santa all over the Southeast in his custom made suits as at this event. Moore is an expert in all things Santa Claus and often does interviews discussing events in the North Pole or hot Christmas toys for kids. The Book Fair is Kentucky's premier literary fundraiser, and more than 150 authors and around 5,000 patrons attend during this one day event. The 2014 gathering marks the 33rd annual for this amazing venue. Book readers, collectors, autograph seekers, and those looking to fulfill their shopping lists will line the Frankfort Convention Center in Frankfort, Kentucky to meet their favorite authors and find new ones to explore. And again this year, Santa will be doing photos with families with a portion of the proceeds going to the Kentucky Book Fair. These proceeds go to help fund grants to Kentucky school and public libraries for local book purchasing and other literacy-related causes. Along with the photos, Santa (Moore) will be selling and autographing his works, including the premiere of a new series of children's books for early readers. The new Santa's Elf Series© will eventually be a series of 25 elves, all having his or her own book written in rhyme for young readers (age 3-8). Each imaginative book is fully illustrated by Mary Moore, Joe's wife and Mrs. Claus, who will also be there. They will introduce the inaugural book in the series, Jamie Hardrock, Chief Mining Elf that is available for sale at the show. "I am extremely excited to be participating with this wonderful charitable organization, and look forward to meeting many wonderful families, seeing my former readers, and meeting new ones," said Moore. He says that either The Santa Claus Trilogy, or the new Santa's Elf Series© make the perfect holiday gift whether 2 or 92. As with all the authors, all books will be sold through the bookstore, after patrons have had a chance to meet and get their copies signed by the writers.
