DT Engineering NW Expand Fabrication Workforce

LIVERPOOL, U.K. - Oct. 24, 2014 - PRLog -- Due to a large upturn in the fabrication and structural steelwork contracts being successfully won by DTE NW, the company has invested in the expansion of the fabrication team by investing in new fabrication equipment and tools as well as two new members of staff.

New welder Dan Omar was brought into the company on a permanent basis having been a self-employed welder for some time and enjoying some recent work supporting DTE with some larger project work.  Joining Dan as part of the new recruitment drive is Mike Stewart who is a rigger who has transferred from a large steel erector company, covering national contracts. Mike is needed to cope with the demand on relocation work of EOTC and steel work jobs.

“After seeing a job vacancy with DT Engineering NW for this type of work, my interest was immediately sparked”, says rigging specialist Mike.  “The growth which the company has gone through over a short space of time coupled with exciting opportunities - which were showcased at interview - meant that DTE were the obvious choice”.

Company Director Gerry Weston said “The investment in the fabrication and steelwork department was a necessity to strengthen the available skillset necessary to complete the works and contracts we were winning. Mike and Dan were head and shoulders above all other candidates interviewed for the job and we are looking forward to working them into our existing team”.

The news of the fabrication team’s expansion is just one part of the story of DTE NW’s continued success and rapid expansion plans. The opening of a new satellite depot in Newcastle Upon Tyne, the hiring of new engineering and sales staff and the internal re-structuring of management and divisions of business -  to satisfy the demand and diversity of work - are all due to the success of the growth ambitions of the company.
