HP and Gravic, Inc. Announce the Availability of HP Shadowbase for Other Servers

MALVERN, Pa. - Oct. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- HP^® and Gravic, Inc.^® are pleased to announce the immediate availability of the HP Shadowbase product suite for other servers to meet HP customers’ needs for continuous business operations which require minimizing planned and unplanned downtime. HP Shadowbase for Other Servers software solutions offer sophisticated and advanced data replication, data integration, and application integration functionality. Customers include major banks, financial and brokerage firms, insurance companies, stock exchanges, electric utilities, healthcare, and telecommunications companies. HP Shadowbase for Other Servers, available for the Windows, Linux, and Unix platforms, will complement HP Shadowbase for NonStop servers, announced in September.

HP will license, service, and support Gravic’s leading-edge Shadowbase solutions that address data replication for business continuity and heterogeneous data integration requirements. Shadowbase solutions complement existing HP solutions, including HP NonStop RDF, HP NonStop AutoTMF, and HP NonStop AutoSync. By providing a single point of purchase and support for these advanced replication solutions, HP and Gravic are improving the overall customer experience. Gravic customers will benefit from the global reach, industry expertise, and 24x7 support available from HP.

Product solutions will be sold by HP under the name, HP Shadowbase for:

Avoiding business losses by eliminating planned and unplanned downtime
HP Shadowbase Data Replication software provides low-latency, uni-directional and bi-directional replication for both active/passive and active/active architectures with collision detection, notification and resolution. Shadowbase Zero Downtime Migration (ZDM) software eliminates planned downtime by keeping application services available to users during disruptive system upgrades, migrations, and maintenance.

Integrating applications and data for competitive advantage
HP Shadowbase Data Integration software provides real-time data integration and synchronization capabilities by streaming changes made in one database to another, feeding data warehouses and real-time business intelligence facilities, and driving extract, transform, and load (ETL) utilities. Shadowbase Application Integration software sends or receives database change events as they occur in real time via a direct interface or publish/subscribe mechanism to other applications in other systems, enabling Real-time Business Intelligence architectures to be built.

Ensuring audit compliance and database consistency
HP Shadowbase Data Management Utilities software provides additional capabilities to monitor and, if necessary, correct data that has become corrupted, for example due to a buggy program release. HP Shadowbase Data Recovery Software allows the anomalous data to be corrected while keeping the database (and application) on-line and available to users. HP Shadowbase also provides audit compliance features, for example that review changes made to the database over time by building an archival copy of the transactional activity.
