Regional Chambers of Commerce partner with Ocean County Long Term Recovery

SHIP BOTTOM, N.J. - Sept. 30, 2014 - PRLog -- Though many positive milestones have been reached as the second year since Super Storm Sandy hit Ocean County, there is still much work yet to be done. Ocean County Long Term Recovery Group has been working with struggling homeowners return to normal placing emphasis on those still in the recovery process and channeling resources to make the next steps possible. Currently, 8,000 Ocean County residents are involved with the RREM (Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Elevation and Mitigation) Program, many of whom are just beginning their construction planning. This countywide reconstruction effort will continue to place demands for local products and services to meet their recovery needs.

Working along with the regional Ocean County-Toms River Chamber of Commerce, Lakewood and Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce, lists of established contractors and resources will help the home owner make educated choices while dealing with reputable business owners. From architects, storage facilities, builders to appliances, recommended lists will be available through the Long Term Recovery Group and well as the chambers websites and offices.

The Ocean County Long Term Recovery Group will also host seminars and workshops in both halves of the county providing trained disaster case managers, relief services and rebuilding assistance.
