By: U.S. Green Building Council - North Carolina For over a year, the USGBC NC and the Cape Fear Green Building Alliance (CFGBA) have been exploring opportunities to work together to advance their parallel missions. As conversations progressed, it became clear that we should work to make CFGBA a part of USGBC NC and that with their leadership and passion CFGBA would be a true asset. Board of Directors, staff and volunteer leaders from each organization worked to define and formalize the process, and, on August 25, 2014, CFGBA became the Cape Fear Provisional Branch of USGBC NC. “USGBC NC is pleased to have a like-minded group of volunteers in the Wilmington area to promote sustainable communities” About USGBC North Carolina Chapter: USGBC NC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2005 with over 800 members, 200 volunteers and four staff members all working toward a unifying mission.
