Climate Change Solutions Advocate Peter Byck To Headline Green Gala

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Sept. 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Peter Byck, director of  the climate solutions documentary “Carbon Nation” will be the keynote speaker at USGBC NC Chapter’s  Green Gala. Byck, also known for his documentary “Garbage”, takes a positive, innovative approach to climate change – a notable contrast to Al Gore’s presentation in “An Inconvenient Truth”, which focused on the problems brought about by climate change.

The Green Gala, hosted by the Charlotte Region Branch of the North Carolina state chapter of USGBC (United States Green Building Council), will be held on September 25^th at the Ritz-Carlton Charlotte. A VIP reception at 5:00 p.m. will be followed by a silent auction, dinner and the 6^th Annual Sustainable Business Awards. The robust silent auction will feature items ranging from green travel and spa packages to gift cards and artwork. The Green Gala is one of the most prominent annual events for advocates of sustainable building and design projects in North Carolina.

The 6^th Annual Sustainable Business Awards will be announced at the Green Gala. The Awards are coveted in the industry and the people, companies, and projects that are finalists are among the most creative, pioneering and innovative in North Carolina.
