My name is Tom Oswald and I have been following the YouTube news very closely. Having spent some time thinking about it I decided to invest heavily behind a new platform to rival YouTube in features and capabilities. After 4 weeks this site is finally in beta testing. Featured videos can be manually controlled

Comparison between YouTube and Videscape

1) For every 10,000 views:

YouTube: $0.064 (based on 0.00064c per stream) Videscape: $1 (based on 0.001c per stream, note this is minimum payments, assuming a 1% click through on ads we expect streaming revenues to be approx 0.014c per stream upto 1.5c per stream)

(per stream amounts are based on = Total ad revenue across platform minus running costs divided by 2 with 50% of profit being paid to content creators on a total streams across account basis)

2) You can use both platforms or just one, the choice is yours

4) Every video added to the site we expect to bring 10 users in, 3 of which will start using the platform

5) The platform accepts any content except illegal or porn content
