Tailgate 2014 Event at Salvatore’s Seaport

BOSTON - Sept. 17, 2014 - PRLog -- WHAT:          Most people know Salvatore’s Restaurant as the modern Italian restaurant with five locations in the Greater Boston area. But, what many people don’t know is that the restaurant group has been a major part of football tailgating culture for years.

         In 2002, the Salvatore’s team began tailgating at Gillette Stadium with a 10 x 10 tent and inviting friends and family for great food and drink. As time passed, what started out as a small endeavor steadily grew from a 10 x 10 foot tent with snacks, to a full blown event at every game including a 20 x 30 foot tent to house guests, a large portable oven and grill with a hydraulic lift, and a mobile multi-media unit including a satellite hookup and a 43-inch monitor. The food has evolved too. Salvatore’s tailgating of course includes the standbys such as hot wings, pizza and other great tailgate finger food, but the Salvatore’s group now themes out their dishes based on who is playing and even do extensive dishes including fresh pastas, whole roasts and much more.

         While these elaborate tailgates have always been exclusive, this October, the Salvatore’s team will be bringing the party to the Seaport.

On Sunday, October 12^th, 2014 from 12:00PM – 5:00PM Salvatore’s Seaport location will team up with Harpoon Brewery to host “Tailgate 2014,” a special event featuring amazing food and drink, as well as a multi-media game experience that will make guests feel like they are on the 50-yard line as they watch the New England Patriot’s play the Buffalo Bills at Buffalo. The $25 per person ticket price includes all you can eat tailgate food including themed specials such as: Buffalo Wings, Fried Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches and Buffalo Calzones, as well as, Salvatore’s Secret Chilli and an additional chicken wing spread from their mobile tailgate unit including special flavors like: Thai Chili and “Harpoon Wings!”  In addition, Salvatore’s will be grilling Hot Dogs, Hamburgers and Italian Sausages on their patio. For those that need the word “salad” on a menu, Salvatore’s will feature potato, pasta and Caesar salad stations and much, much more! Harpoon will also be on hand with specials galore!
