Sept. 11, 2014 - PRLog -- Gregory Blair’s slow-burn psychological thriller DEADLY REVISIONS has picked up a total of five nominations in the FANtastic Horror Film Festival, including Best Director and Best Film.  Nominations were announced yesterday by Mike and Joanne Thomas, the creators of the festival.

“I’m very excited and honored our film has received so many nominations” says Blair.  “I’m especially pleased so many of the talented people who helped bring the film to life are getting nods.  Their talents have augmented the film's quality by leaps and bounds”.

The trove of laurels include nods for Best Score (Andrew Poole Todd), Best Actress (Cindy Merrill ) and Best Actor (Bill Oberst Jr.).  Blair, himself, is the recipient of the nominations for Best Director and Best Film.

This is the second festival nod for Blair's work on the film; he previously won “Best Director of an Indie Horror Film” at the latest EOTM Awards.  Reviewers have already lauded the film as "A twisted mind bender!" (Twisted Central) and "Gleeful fun!" (More Horror) with “Genuine Fun Jolts!” (Ain’t It Cool News). Oberst, Jr. is a regular award winner for his work in films, having been named Best Actor at the Shockfest Film Festival in 2012 and the PollyGrind Underground Film Festival of Las Vegas in 2013.

"I tried to bring the best talent I could to the project," Blair says.  "In independent film, every person has the ability to make or break the final product: every person is that important.  I got lucky the folks I wanted said 'yes'".

DEADLY REVISIONS imakes its San Diego premiere at the FANTastic Horror Film Festival on Halloween night after the New York premiere at the New York Independent Film Festival, which screens October 17th at 8:30.  Thus far, the film is also due to screen at the Twisted Tails Film Festival in Dallas in December.
