SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Sept. 8, 2014 - PRLog -- Saturday October 11, 2014 8:30 a.m.,  Award-Winning author, Ramona Moreno Winner, will kick-off the 2014 Seeds of Positive Change:  Making a Difference in Our Diverse World Conference hosted by the San Diego Association for the Education of Young Children (AEYC), at the Ruth Chapman Theater - the Eastlake High School Education Campus, 1120 Eastlake Parkway, Chula Vista, CA.  As Keynote Speaker, Mrs. Winner’s presentation will be titled: Planting Seeds of Acceptance.

Educators will join Mrs. Winner in exploring cultural practices and traditions that drive individuals and whole cultural groups.  From the origins of prejudice to exploration of personal biases, this hour and a half, fast-paced presentation, will serve to promote cultural learning in an educational environment. Participants are advised to bring a sense of adventure and an appetite for the unusual.  Mrs. Winner is known for her tasty, home baked, crunchy treats!

San Diego AEYC’s mission is to provide a professional membership organization committed to promoting optimal life experiences for all children from birth to 8 years of age  .  With a membership of 1000+ members, the San Diego AEYC’s goals are to raise awareness of how children develop and learn, to collaborate with other organizations and institutions that share their mission, and to advocate for the support of early childhood professionals and others who care for children and their families.
