Attendance Doubles at 2014 ClassMate Summer Institute

CLIFTON, N.J. - Aug. 26, 2014 - PRLog -- ClassLink held a successful 3-day collaborative Summer Institute for school leaders and teachers to enrich their knowledge and use of ClassMate; a student information system for Career and Technology Education (CTE), Adult Education, Alternative Education and Special Education. This year’s Institute had a record turnout of attendees with over 75% of ClassMate schools sending as many as eight participants.

“The Institute is designed so school leaders are able to share ClassMate best practices with each other. There are many incredible ‘light bulb’ moments during these sharing sessions,” said Vice President Kathy Ritch. “Our customer sites operate in such diverse ways, it's amazing to see and hear our clients showcase the flexibility of ClassMate's robust functionality to accommodate their school's unique student data needs."

The participants’ days were filled with hands-on learning activities, sharing of best practices, presentations on specific topics and a Q&A session to address specific needs. School leaders who attended this collaborative learning experience shared many positive comments including:

“Love this retreat!! I've learned so much and it's great to attend with the other BOCES. I especially liked the new ‘forum’ format for the institute,” said Susan Turner, Student Services, DCMO BOCES, Norwich, NY.

Deborah Theysohn, Principal CTE, Sullivan BOCES, Liberty, NY added, “The Leadership session is an excellent idea also great idea to help pull data for comparison in the dashboard thanks for thinking of ways to help us show the data from ClassMate for requests from upper administration and school districts!!”
