World Economic Development Alliance Report: Retail Sales Continue to Grow

DALLAS - July 15, 2014 - PRLog -- The World Economic Development Alliance (WEDA) reports that retail sales expanded in June over last month and 2013, according the US Census Bureau.

According the report, retail sales were up 4.3% over June of 2013, reflecting increased consumer confidence and continued recovery in the economy.

While the average retail salary is slightly more than half the average manufacturing salary ($25,310), the positions created tend to fill gaps for the long-term unemployed and persons with other obligations, such as families or other jobs. Kleinsorge points out that manufacturing companies that are seeking to relocate or expand tend to look at the retail sector in the local area as part of the decision-making process.
