| Bounce House Summer Safety Tips From Jump On It Las VegasBounce house injuries are rare, but can take an otherwise good time and turn it unhappy. Owner of Jump On It Las Vegas Randi Cey addresses bounce house safety, and gives tips on how renting a bounce house for your next event can be made safe.
By: Jump On It Las Vegas "Always supervise your children while they are inside the bounce house," Cey commented. "Children need supervision to make sure that things do not get out of control, like having too many in the bounce house at the same time. If it gets crowded in there, children can fall into one another. A bounce house is designed to provide a cushioned surface that your body falls against, however if one child bounces into another their heads can collide, or their elbows and feet, which can hurt another child. Another aspect of bounce house safety is making sure that the jumper is staked securely to the ground at all times. Even though it is very, very rare, windy days have shown times when bounce houses can be lifted from the ground. It is always best to make sure that it cannot be lifted off the ground by staking it down. Most bounce house rental companies will make sure this is the case during setup, but if the stakes were to come out during play a potential danger of wind movement happens. Once again adult supervision is the best practice." Bounce houses provide hours of entertainment for children at events nationwide during the summer months, and injuries are going to happen any time there are children playing. Taking the advice of professionals like Cey who rent bounce houses as a business is a way to reduce the amount of injuries that happen, and make them less serious. "We all hear the news stories about children being hurt in bounce houses all the time, but the majority of times it is due to some safety issue that was not followed. They do not show the millions of times that children have enjoyed bounce house rentals without incident because some simple rules were followed," Cey went on to say. "Bounce houses are a safe and fun way to liven up any children's event, and having a few rules isn't going to reduce the fun.
