HOUSTON - Oct. 21, 2025 - PRLog -- The largest and oldest festival of Islamic Arts in the United States is set to take place November 15th & 16th at the University of Houston.  Over the years, the festival has attracted visitors and artists from all corners of the United States, fostering connections and collaborations and sparking creativity. It serves as a platform for artists to showcase their talent, to network, collaborate, and inspire.

The Islamic Arts Society aims to share the rich heritage of Islamic arts through art events, lectures, and workshops, promoting a positive image of the Muslim community. Art serves as a common language that binds diverse communities, and by promoting Islamic arts, the society hopes to foster mutual understanding and bring the broader American community together. The Islamic Arts Festival, held annually since 2014, continued even during the COVID-19 pandemic when it was held online. The festival attracts people of all ages, ethnicities, and faiths for two days of fun, festivity, and learning.

Famous Turkish Sufi music sensation Abdullah Kaymak will take center stage at this year's Islamic Arts Festival's evening entertainment program. Abdullah Kaymak is a dynamic performer blending the sacred tradition of Sufi music with jazz, blues, and global music influences.

The 2025 festival will also feature a stand-up Muslim comedy show, a film festival, a spoken art program, and an academic seminar organized in collaboration with the University of Houston's Kathrine G. McGovern College of the Arts. There will also be Islamic art workshops for those interested in learning Islamic art.

With over 5,000 pieces of art by more than 50 artists on display, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy, appreciate, and purchase art. They can also engage in interactive art sessions, learn about Islamic art and culture, attend workshops, and savor ethnic food. Live demonstrations on calligraphy, henna tattoos, ebru, painting, and a variety of children's art activities will further enrich the festival experience.
