Danny Clay selected to perform at Steve Harvey’s Neighborhood Awards

ATLANTA - July 5, 2014 - PRLog -- Atlanta, GA – July 5,2014-  A chance meeting in 2007 with Nephew Tommy (Executive Producer of the Steve Harvey Show)  led Danny Clay to participate in Steve Harvey’s  morning show singing contest. He became a favorite quickly with his amazing vocals sounding much like Luther Vandross. He won the contest and became an opening act on Steve Harvey’s tour performing a tribute to the late artist.

In 2009, he was invited by Tyler Perry to perform in the hit stage play, “Madea’s Big Happy Family”. The following year he toured with Tyler Perry for “Madea’s Big Happy Family” and made a guest appearance in the movie. He’s performed on shows that featured artists like John Legend, Musiq Soulchild, Neo, Avant, Silk, Morris Day and The Time. Danny was recently cast leading male in the upcoming Stageplay entitled,  "So Amazing" a tribute to Luther Vandross.

Yesterday Clay announced he will perform during the 2014 Ford Neighborhood Award’s “Stand Up Comedy Jam” hosted by Nephew Tommy in Atlanta, GA, August 7th-10th 2014. This marks the 12th anniversary of the weekend expo formerly known as the “Hoodie Awards”. Throughout the weekend, everyday heroes are given star treatment and honored.
