Gore Mountain partners with Gracecom Communications to Improve Communications at Resort

ALBANY, N.Y. - June 11, 2014 - PRLog -- Gracecom Communications, a telecommunications company based in Albany, has partnered with Gore Mountain to improve communications across the ski resort’s vast facility. The installation of a new hybrid phone system has improved internal communications between the staff at Gore Mountain, while simultaneously improving their ability to accommodate customers during ski season.

“Our previous phone system was 30 years old,” recounts Mike Costantino, Gore Mountain’s Electrical Department Supervisor, “Gracecom’s new digital phone system was imperative. The integration with email and cell phones gives us the ability to be in  two places at once. Overall, the NEC system gives us quicker, faster and more efficient communications.”

The Gore Mountain installation was a demonstration of this partnership, explains Gracecom’s project manager Pam Semenza. “The NEC phone system was a perfect fit for Gore Mountain’s specific needs. The installation was not without challenges, explains Gracecom’s Operations Manager Glenn Gandrow. The unique challenges involved in switching over the resort to a new digital system, including installing phone service at the top of the mountain, approximately 6 miles above the base lodge.

When asked how the experience went for Gore Mountain, Mike Constantino says, “Having the folks at Gracecom was comforting.
