By: Ben's Delicatessen Restaurant & Caterers The National Restaurant Association praised Ben’s for giving back to the community by working with local soup kitchens. Ben’s was selected from 129 engaged, charitable state winners that all work to assist people in their communities. For many years, Ben’s has worked with the Interfaith Nutrition Network (INN) and makes a conscious effort to donate leftover soups each week. In addition to its generous frequent donations, Ben’s organizes two annual fundraisers, “A Genuine New York Deli Experience” and “A Day of Thanks and Giving,” to benefit the INN and community members who are less fortunate. Throughout the year, Ben’s donates more than 450 meals, and more than $20,000 is raised for charity. “Since our inception in 1972, we have always looked for ways to give back to the community,” says Ronnie Dragoon, Owner/CEO, Ben’s Kosher Delicatessen, Restaurant & Caterers. “Being in the restaurant industry, it has always been imperative to find ways to help those who go hungry.
