Ben’s Kosher Delicatessen Restaurant & Caterers Recognized for Outstanding Community Service

June 9, 2014 - PRLog -- Ben’s Kosher Delicatessen, Restaurant & Caterers (http://bensdeli.net/) was recently recognized for its exceptional community involvement and innovative community programs by the National Restaurant Association in its 2014 Restaurant Neighbor Award Contest. Ben’s is one of only three restaurants in the state of New York to be recognized by the National Restaurant Association for its outstanding community service.

The National Restaurant Association praised Ben’s for giving back to the community by working with local soup kitchens. Ben’s was selected from 129 engaged, charitable state winners that all work to assist people in their communities. For many years, Ben’s has worked with the Interfaith Nutrition Network (INN) and makes a conscious effort to donate leftover soups each week.

In addition to its generous frequent donations, Ben’s organizes two annual fundraisers, “A Genuine New York Deli Experience” and “A Day of Thanks and Giving,” to benefit the INN and community members who are less fortunate. Throughout the year, Ben’s donates more than 450 meals, and more than $20,000 is raised for charity.
