Leading the Curve Soars to Top of Amazon Charts for Business Leadership and Management

ORLANDO, Fla. - June 6, 2014 - PRLog -- When veteran author Zechariah Blanchard set out to promote his new book, Leading the Curve, he planned to get the book in front of enough eyes to help launch it to the top of the ranks. With this in mind, Mr. Blanchard spent days executing a plan for publicity before the launch. As of this writing, Leading the Curve was sitting at #1,391 overall for the Amazon Kindle store. Still, today is the last day of the giveaway and the book has not broken the top 1,000. The questions remains: is it going to?

The rapid rise is not normal for such a new book. Leading the Curve was only just released two weeks ago. The first week of sales and minimal promotion saw less than sixty downloads. However, this most recent promotion has helped Leading the Curve skyrocket past more than 100,000 other books to land it's place the top 1,500.

When  asked about the cost of the promotion, Zechariah said, "It has been a lot of work, but I think it was worth it. There are a lot of people out there reading my book right now. I expect a descent percentage of them to offer me a review, too. Promotions are just about always expensive in one of two things: time or money. I put a lot of time into this campaign. Maybe the next time I do this, I will try more money and less time."

According to Mr. Blanchard, "We still plan on hitting the top 1,000 tonight. There is quite a few hours left in the electronic day. You can never have too much exposure when launching a business, book, or product. Mine work is not yet done. There are a few hundred more downloads we need to get into that top 1,000. I don't intend to miss out on that opportunity."
