Allegations Within the Complaint T.G. is a twenty four (24) year old African-American man who resides in Brooklyn, NY and has no criminal record. On the day of the Incident, T.G. had just gotten into a black livery car after a birthday celebration with some friends. Once in the car, an NYPD Officer ordered T.G. and his freinds out of the car alleging that he had thrown rocks at the window of Junior's restaurant, a nearby establishment. Although T.G. denied involvement in any such wrongdoing, he was placed under arrest nonetheless and taken to the 84th Precinct for processing. Once fingerprinted, photographed and processed, T.G. was transported to Brooklyn Central Booking to await arraignment on the criminal charges that the NYPD agents had caused to be levied against him. While awaiting arraignment, a Kings County ADA reviewied the allegations against T.G. and a decision was made to dp, or decline to prosecute T.G. Therefore, T.G. was released out the side door of Central Booking without ever seeing a judge. T.G. was denied his liberty for at least 18 hours as a result of the incident and suffered an unlawful detention, loss of liberty, emotional distress, fear, anxiety, humiliation, degradation and damage to his reputation - all to his detriment. Michael J. Redenburg, Esq. represents T.G. and maintains an office at 150 Broadway, Room 808, NY, NY 10038.
