Firm Attorney Completes Army Judge Advocate Office Basic Course

 
BENTONVILLE, Ark. - May 13, 2014 - PRLog -- On Thursday, May 8, 2014, firm attorney Garrett Ham graduated from the Army's Judge Advocate Office Basic Course, or JAOBC, having fullfilled all graduation requirements. Mr. Ham is now a fully qualified judge advocate and admitted to practice law before all military circuit courts.

The Judge Advocate Office Basic Course is the Army's course of instruction designed to teach Army attorneys the unique aspects of military law. JAOBC is a ten-and-a-half week course conducted at the Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School located on the grounds of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Graduation from JAOBC is required of all attorneys who desire to be certified as judge advocates in the Army JAG Corps. Topics covered include military justice and courts-martial, international and operations law, government fiscal law, and military legal assistance, among others.
