Station Avenue Productions Mourns The Passing of Founder Ron "DiRoma" DiSilvestro

CHERRY HILL, N.J. - April 22, 2014 - PRLog -- STATION AVENUE PRODUCTIONS – Station Avenue Productions, a leading event production firm and entertainment industry powerhouse, sadly announces the passing of its founder, Ron “DiRoma” DiSilvestro, on April 11, 2014, following a courageous battle with stroke complications. He was 71.

A decorated Vietnam War veteran, DiSilvestro established Station Avenue Records & Music Company, Inc., in 1980, launching his own recording label and event management firm to produce events for entertainment industry greats – many of whom where friends of DiSilvestro, including BJ Thomas, Lee Greenwood, Frankie Avalon, Bobby Rydell, Lou Rawls and many others.

In 1992, CJ DiRoma was named President of Station Avenue and rebranded the successful event production firm into a corporate and special events enterprise, renaming it Station Avenue Productions.

“We sadly announce the loss of our original founder and mentor Ron “DiRoma” DiSilvestro,” DiRoma shares. “His music and legacy lives on, as we hold true to the lessons he taught us all and still implement today in all our events - we honor the foundation he created and are blessed to be able to continue his legacy.”

DiSilvestro spent a lifetime in the entertainment business as a singer on Capitol Records and a booking agent working with the biggest stars.

Born in Wildwood NJ, Son of Harry and Mary Di Silvestro, and brother of Harry DiSilvestro, Barbara Flacco, Marie Donahue and Rocco Di Silvestro, he is survived by his children Ronald F. Di Silvestro, Nicholas Di Silvestro, and Gabriella Di Silvestro, and Granddaughter Luciana Di Silvestro.
