NFL Hall of Famer Jim Brown Headlines Mack Alive Benefit Tonight at the City Theatre

DETROIT - April 17, 2014 - PRLog -- NFL Hall of Famer Jim Brown will headline a fundraiser to benefit non-profit Mack Alive Partnership for a Drug Free Detroit tonight at the City Theatre located inside Hockeytown Café.

The program begins at 7:00 p.m.
withBankole Thompson, author and senior editor of the Michigan Chronicle, serving as master of ceremonies.

Guests will view a brief video – highlights of Brown’s football and movie career –after which Brown will share some personal stories and discuss the consequences of making bad choices.

Brown will announce his Amer-I-Can Foundation’s collaboration with A Forever Recovery, to eradicate drug use among our youth - he feels that changing the social paradigm for our youth regarding drug use is imperative. A Forever Recovery is the event’s title sponsor.

Audience members will also have an opportunity to ask the NFL legend and actor questions during a Q & A at the end of the program.

NFL Hall of Famer Lem Barney and Detroit Lion legend Mel Farr are also expected to attend.

General admission tickets ($50) are available at the door.

City Theatre is located at 2301 Woodward Avenue in Detroit.
