New York – April 16, 2014

Three prominent financial industry leaders have joined forces to provide investment management to individuals.  Lehmann, Livian, Fridson Advisors LLC (LLFA) will serve the partners’ established client base and the fast-growing population of income investors by combining the skills, processes, and teams of the three professionals.

LLFA sees a vast need for investment management, especially for income securities, which create long-term financial security.  “An effective strategy does more than just provide an adequate income upon retirement," comments Chief Investment Officer Martin Fridson.  “It must continue to provide a satisfactory income as the purchasing power of savings declines through inflation.  Today, it’s hard to find income in all the usual places.  You also need to go where the large institutions don't go.”

Richard Lehmann, CPA founded the Bond Investors Association (now Income Securities Advisor) in 1983 as an information organization for individual bondholders. He has authored numerous articles on bonds and fixed income investing in both financial column and book form. Lehmann is currently a regular columnist on fixed income investing with Forbes Magazine. He has taught finance and accounting in the MBA program at Barry University in Miami and has spoken at numerous investment seminars. Mr. Lehmann holds an MBA from Columbia University, is a CPA and a registered investment advisor.

Michael Livian, CFA is the founder and CEO of Livian & Co. He has over 18 years of experience in the financial services industry. He was the Chairman of the Executive Committee and Head of Asset Management at Safdie Investment Services Corp. (subsidiary of the Swiss private bank, Banque Safdie). Mr. Livian holds a summa cum laude MSc degree in Economics from the University of Milan. He has published several academic articles and books on quantitative finance, fixed income, and equity valuation. Livian is the co-chairperson of the Private Wealth Management Committee at the New York Society of Securities Analysts.

Martin Fridson, CFA “one of Wall Street’s most thoughtful and perceptive advisors,” according to The New York Times. At brokerage firms including Salomon Brothers, Morgan Stanley, and Merrill Lynch, he won acclaim for his innovative work in credit analysis and investment strategy. Fridson received his B.A. cum laude in history from Harvard College and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He has served as president of the Fixed Income Analysts Society, governor of the Association for Investment Management and Research (now CFA Institute), and director of the New York Society of Security Analysts. The Financial Management Association International named Fridson the Financial Executive of the Year in 2002. In 2013 Fridson served as Special Assistant to the Director for Deferred Compensation, Office of Management and the Budget, The City of New York.
