Team Canada's Jenny Gilbert Joins WSN as Featured Blogger

MONTEREY, Calif. - April 1, 2014 - PRLog -- WSN, the leading online news magazine devoted to women's sports, has announced that Team Canada and Ball State University softball player, Jenny Gilbert, has joined the team as a featured blogger.

About Jenny:
Jenny is currently in her Senior season at Ball State University. She has been a member of the Canadian National Team since 2012. Her previous accomplishments include 2013 Pan American Games Silver Medalist, 5th place at the 2012 World Championships, and 2012 World Cup of Softball Bronze Medalist. At Ball State, she is the first All-American in program history, the reigning two-time Mid-American Conference Player of the Year (2012, 2013), and 2011 MAC All-Freshman. She also holds the record for most homeruns in the NCAA by a Canadian-born player, as well as MAC Career homerun and RBI records.

The Akron Racers selected Jenny as the No. 10 pick in the National Pro Fastpitch College Draft, which took place on Monday, March 31, 2014.
