By: Remake 4 Water Her positive and popular independent film set in the restaurant industry, that premiered in 2007, has been seen in at least 195 countries and continues to be downloaded daily somewhere in the world. The mission is to get it remade by "Hollywood" and have a percentage of the proceeds go towards organizations that help people in third world countries get and maintain systems for clean water, in addition to raising awareness about water conservation in countries that already have potable water. "It has happened in the past with a few movies, but they were not 'blockbuster' type movies-- rather "subject specific" like the movie "Chimpanzee" The Earth Hour ad campaign banner on various sites (like the example in the screen shot photo) says, "Be a superhero for the planet." There are many ideas that would help people and the earth at the same time and people wouldn't be doing anything that requires a lot of effort. Change doesn't happen overnight, but we are getting closer and closer to a situation that will be hard to reverse." "Look at the recent drought in California. It's not all fun and games anymore and I think we are realizing that; hence the Spiderman/Earth Hour deal. I applaud their forward moving enterprise and expect to see more in the future," the waitress-turned- For more information on the Remake 4 Water project, visit www.remake4water.org.
