NBV Enterprise Solutions and two local businesses meet with Nottingham East MP Chris Leslie

EAST MIDLANDS, U.K. - March 26, 2014 - PRLog -- The meeting was the latest in a succession of regular sessions Chris and NBV have held to discuss key local business issues

Emphasising the importance of continued business support, training and funding; the meeting gave local entrepreneurs’ a chance to share their experience and put forward their views.

Richard Dearden said: “NBV has had a long standing relationship with Chris and it was great to see him at our Mercury House premises again. Chris has always been very ‘enterprising’ and active in the area. It was great to bring him up to date with NBV’s activities and to hear first-hand from successful local small businesses.”

Both Chris and the Directors of NBV seemed genuinely interested in my professional background, my business and hearing ‘my story’- my transition from the public sector to private enterprise. The questions asked were insightful and I felt that it was a very positive, productive discussion. Opportunities such as this don’t present themselves often and I remain very pleased to have been involved.”

Craig Brothers, of Affari Media, had been trading for 6 years before contacting NBV to enrol on the Grow Your Business programme. He fully utilised the support and funding available, and the business has now expanded to a team of three, working with notable clients such as Fujitsu and Siemon.

Craig said: “It was good to meet with Chris and I was happy that we were met with interest.

“As anyone in business knows, funding is fundamental to growth and ultimately job creation. Accessing finance is a major barrier to SME’s, so it was great to share our viewpoint and stress the importance of services such as NBV and local government funding.”
