TAKE TWO Turntables & Call Me In The Morning

NEW YORK - March 17, 2014 - PRLog -- In October of 2013, it was announced that a film which examines the art form of DJ’ing as a form of Music Therapy had started production. Well, the film is well underway and is close to wrapping Production and moving on to Post-Production. The Producers have gotten a great opportunity to film some notable DJs and Music Therapy sessions in the New York area, so are using the Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the shoots

The film is being Directed by acclaimed Documentarian Dana Perry. She is the Producer of HBO’s ‘Crisis Hotline: Veteran’s Press 1’, Director of HBO’s, HBO’s ‘Boy Interrupted’  - Premiered at Sundance - and ‘Top Ten Monks’ - A film about Monks whose Gregorian chants climbed England’s Pop Charts.

On the Kickstarter page, people can view a short teaser of the film which includes interview footage from Moby, Wolfgang Gartner, and Dutch DJ - Sander Kleinenberg. The page (http://tinyurl.com/Beforewewerekings) also features detailed information about the practice of Music Therapy, so potential fans can learn more about why the filmmaker’s chose this topic. Some of the rewards that are offered for pledging to the campaign include exclusive music from the film’s soundtrack, private screening tickets, custom apparel from the film, tickets to DJ shows, and Producer credits.

The filmmakers know the campaign will do well, not only because of the millions of fans our participating DJs have, but because the film’s message strikes a personal chord with millions of those suffering from mental and physical disabilities. Also, the two documentaries that won big at this year’s Oscars were music documentaries which had an underlying message of music therapy.
